What to expect from VellumWorks Weekly?

You’re receiving this because, at some point, you showed interest in what we’re building at VellumWorks — a mission-led initiative dedicated to creating free, open digital tools for those making a difference.

VellumWorks exists to support charities, grassroots organisations, and underserved communities by developing systems that remove digital barriers. This weekly update is our way of keeping you in the loop as we build, iterate, and move the mission forward.

Here’s what we’ve been focused on this week:

– We’ve been approved on Reach Volunteering, so this enables more people to become a volunteer.
– We’ve also updated the website to include new sections to give more context on what we’re aiming to achieve as an organisation.

Thanks for following along — we’ve got even more in the pipeline for next week and we promise that next week will be more exciting.

86% of charities say they lack the skills to make the most of digital tools — and nearly half admit they’re missing out on opportunities because of it.

Recently, we’ve also started a Substack channel called Signals. This is where we will give additional tips and ways for charities to grow. Even though our information will also be here and on Medium, we’ll share additional pieces there, especially for those who prefer the Substack platform.

We’ll also be using the Chat channel to add threads and to interact with those who want to understand learn more about growing a charity and helping a range of communities.
