Inside VellumWorks: Free SEO Tools, Our First Client, and What’s Coming Next
Your weekly look behind the build — from smarter SEO to digital tools designed for good.

Welcome to VellumWorks Weekly — your behind-the-scenes look at what we’re building to support charities, communities, and causes that matter.
From smarter SEO tools to systems that cut through digital noise, we’re on a mission to make sure purpose-led organisations have what they need to thrive.
Here’s what we’ve been working on this week…
What to expect from VellumWorks Weekly?
You’re receiving this because, at some point, you showed interest in the work we’re doing at VellumWorks — a mission-led initiative creating free, open digital tools for those making a difference. Whether you signed up through one of our platforms, contributed to a project, or simply followed along, we’re glad to have you with us.
Each week, we’ll share an update on what we’re building, testing, and improving — from SEO tools for nonprofits and volunteer systems to broader platforms supporting language preservation and digital access for underserved communities.
This is one of the few sections that will stay consistent each week — so if you’re new here, it’s your welcome guide. And if you’ve been with us a while, consider it a reminder of the mission we're building together.

Here’s what we’ve been focused on this week:
– We wrapped up the beta version of the VellumSEO dashboard, which now includes modular cards for keyword tracking, on-page checks, and traffic insights — all tailored specifically for charities.
– Our free SEO services are now live at VellumSEO.com, and we’ve officially started supporting our first charity client — helping them improve visibility and drive impact through organic search.
– We began building the public-facing pages for VellumCMS, which will soon showcase its capabilities for charities to manage content with ease.
– We continued improving the VellumWorks site, refining how our ecosystem of projects is presented to make it clearer how everything connects under one mission.
– As you may have seen, we also launched the first edition of our weekly email, where we’ll be sharing progress, resources, and ways to get involved each week.

Over 70% of charity websites receive fewer than 500 visits a month — not because their work isn’t important, but because they’re invisible on search engines. VellumSEO is here to change that.

We’ve been hard at work improving VellumSEO — refining its design, enhancing security, and building new sections tailored to the needs of charities. The first version of your VellumSEO dashboard is now taking shape: a clean, central space where you’ll soon be able to manage your site’s SEO, monitor performance, and receive actionable, charity-specific recommendations.
No noise, no unnecessary tools — just clear insights that work straight out of the box. Whether you're new to SEO or already on the journey to improve your visibility, this dashboard is being built to support you every step of the way.
We’ve also begun laying the groundwork for our own CMS — a longer-term project designed from the ground up to serve charities. It’s early days, but it’s going to be worth the wait.
We’ll be opening VellumSEO up to early testers soon. Want to help shape it? Just hit reply and let us know.

Charities shouldn’t have to spend thousands on digital tools just to do good in the world. But they do. And we thought: what if they didn’t have to? That’s why we created VellumWorks — and here’s what we’re building 🧵

We know your time and energy are focused on doing good in the world, and we aim to support that work however we can. If something we’re building could help your charity — or if you just want to share an idea — don’t hesitate to reach out.
Until next week,
